NJHS at WFAA Channel 8 Family First Event - Plano Centre Jan. 22

Schimelpfenig, Frankford, Haggard, and Renner Middle Schools teamed up on Saturday, January 22, 2005 to be Ambassadors for the City of Plano at the Plano Centre. Back row from left to right is Annie Bateman, NJHS President from Haggard Middle School, Ryan Breault, Aparna Ramanan, Ms. Robin Popik Director of Volunteer Services for the City of Plano, Alyssa Zarro, Emily Kong. Front row is Jennifer Goebel, and Kevin Barnett NJHS President of Frankford Middle School. Kevin is in a wheelchair because the day before he was in the hospital for an appendectomy!!!and he still showed up to volunteer...insanely incredible!
Everyone had a great time, and this marks the first time that middle schools have joined together on their own to help the City of Plano. Ms. Popik was really great to work with, and we intend to support her to our fullest!
There are other volunteers from Frankford and Renner not shown...they were at stations handing out literature during this photo.
